This video is an edited version of how my debut solo release "From The Core", recorded initially in the Oregon Caves National Monument, came to be. This CD features 12 songs that were improvised for a PBS documentary called "The Marble Halls Of Oregon".

This is from a New Years Eve 2012 duet performance with Danny Kortchmar and Jeff Pevar, Live at Infinity Hall, in Norfolk, CT. This recording was captured with a GoPro2 camera and a stereo Audio-Technica Mic placed right at the edge of the stage.
This was a live performance in London @ the Royal Festival Hall in 1986 also with Morris Pleasure on bass and Paul Kreibich on drums. Enjoy!
I am thrilled that this video surfaced from the Lugano Jazz Festival in Lugano Switzerland in 1986 on tour with Ray Charles. To my surprise we played our set immediately following Mahavishnu John McLaughlin and his band. When I walked into the shared dressing room, there he was.

This is an excerpt from a video production released after the 1st CPR record that includes a live version of the first song I ever wrote with Crosby, "Little Blind Fish" from the Montreux Jazz Festival. Enjoy!
This is from a tour we all did in Europe together with Rickie, who is one of the best singer songwriters out there, in my humble opinion. The band was Michael Ruff (key/voc), Reggie McBride (bass), Arno Lucas (perc/voc). Artie Rodriguez (dr), Richard Elliot (sax) and myself (gtr), Jeff Pevar.
This is a tune recorded by Wes Montgomery and also The Derek Trucks Band. This version was a concept by Bobby's Backing Tracks where he found musicians to sit in their own studios and record their part. I actually never met these other find players but I learned the tune and improvised my guitar solo as a full take, no overdubs.....admittedly it's a lot of choruses to try to keep a guitar solo interesting so I'm pretty happy with how this came out, as I don't consider myself an actual jazz guitarist... moreso a guitarist who loves jazz. Enjoy!
During a Jazz Is Dead concert in Sausalito around 2010 JID drummer Rod Morgenstein and I ran into Spinal Tap Drummer, David Kaffinetti (Viv Savage) backstage. I grabbed my iPhone and this inspired improvised video ensued. This one goes to ELEVEN!
In the studio recording the first CPR record a moment of inspired performance hits.
http://elliott-randall.com/ https://facebook.com/elliottrandallmusic/ "White Rabbit's Got The Blues" w/ Jeff Pevar. An On The Couch Video w/ Elliott Randall. The longer short story: 'Peev' was passing thru while on tour with Jefferson Starship / QMS a few years back and we decided that homage needed to be paid to The White Rabbit.
This is an except from a video shoot outside of Amsterdam on the 1st European CPR tour around 2000 or thereabouts.
