Ray Charles
Jeff had the unique opportunity to work with Ray Charles, one of the true musical legends of the music business, between 1984 and 1986. Ray Charles learned early on that Jeff's roots and prowess in rhythm & blues were a true asset for the Ray Charles Orchestra. Because of this, Ray often called on Jeff during live performances and recordings to feature Jeff's inspired guitar work.
Jeff performed with The Ray Charles Orchestra in Europe, Scandinavia, Asia and the US in many world famous venues and festivals.
Jeff also performed in the Ray Charles Quartet, also featuring Jeff's dear friend, Morris Pleasure on bass and Paul Kriebich on drums. The RC Quartet performed with many symphony orchestras, including a performance with the Royal Symphony Orchestra in London’s Royal Festival Hall which was released as a PBS video.
Jeff is also featured on a few Ray Charles albums, including the holiday favorite "The Spirit Of Christmas", which features Jeff's guitar on "Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer" and "What Child Is This".
