Marc Cohn

Around 1990, Jeff was contacted by singer/songwriter Marc Cohn, by the recommendation of James Taylor.

Marc had recently moved to NYC and was working on songs that eventually led to his first Grammy-winning debut album. Jeff assisted Marc with some early recordings and was later contacted by Marc to tour in support of his first album in Europe, Australia, New Zealand and in the US in duo format, often playing to standing room-only crowds.

Jeff also performed on numerous TV shows with Marc, including The Tonight Show, Dennis Miller Show, Austin City Limits and many others. Jeff played a variety of instruments on this tour including bass, lap steel and various guitars. It was playing with Marc back in the early 90's that led to David Crosby and Graham Nash first hearing Jeff play. The rest is history as Crosby and Nash offered Jeff work in their duo when they weren't touring with Stephen Stills, and Jeff became Graham and David's guitarist in various collaborations for over a decade. It led to the forming of CPR, as well.

A few years ago, Marc played a concert in Grants Pass, OR at the Rogue Theatre and Jeff was invited to sit in.

After 20 years of not performing together, once again, sparks flew! After that fateful reunion, when scheduling aligned, Jeff has been invited to play various shows with Marc again in duo, trio and quartet configurations over the last few years, which has been such a treasured reunion for Jeff.

Marc is not only one of the most talented songwriters and performers I know, we also have a long standing friendship that I cherish. We always had such a great chemistry playing music together and I am always thrilled when the opportunity arises for us to play together.
