A Message from Jeff Pevar on the Announcement

We are all looking forward to, once again, honoring this iconic music in our interpretive ensemble, Jazz Is Dead, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Grateful Dead.

After previous performances playing with both Phil Lesh and Friends, and on many previous Jazz Is Dead tours, I am always humbled and elated to have the opportunity to perform this music live with these masterful musicians.

It is such an added blessing to perform with the amazing Alphonso Johnson, Rod Morgenstein and newcomer, Chris Smith.

We are so excited we will be releasing our new Jazz Is Dead album on August 1st, which features Jazz Is Dead alumni and very special guest musicians, including amazing performances from our dear friend, T Lavitz, who passed away in 2010.

We hope to see you along the way!

No shows booked at the moment.

Tour Dates: A one-time member of the Grateful Dead will take part in this summer’s first Jazz Is Dead tour since 2005…
